more about the name GEM GEM refers to Grace, Expression and Movement... as well as got (e)motion™. GEM was chosen because everyone has emotion and motion. It was fitting to combine the two as we delve further into mind, body & soul work. Emotion in Latin is emovere. E- in Latin is a variant of ex- which means “out” and movere in Latin means “move.” The related term “motivation” is also derived from movere. So, finding motivation and emotion inside the mind, body & soul to express what is in there, outwardly and creatively through motion... that encapsulates some of the philosophy behind who we are. The play on the pronunciation of got (e)motion™ (which sounds like got “a” motion or, a short sounding “e” for got emotion) works well for our vision. Also, the initials, GEM, are appropriate since it is our belief that not only is our company a gem... but, each person represents a gem in his/her own unique way and with his/her (e)motions. Natalie Bizic created this “gem” to enable people to discover themselves more completely through music, motion and emotion.
